hobby lobby luvin
Okay, Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite stores. It's my happy place. Ofcourse I love all the craft stores but we seem to buy more stuff from Hobby Lobby. They have amazing sales, especially on their seasonal items and furniture items that are always being changed out. Most recently we came across a jewerly armoire that will make me the perfect nightstand. I am currently using a plastic storage bin as a nightstand and it is horrible. Great for storing crafts but not so great for being a nightstand. It's a foot shorter than my bed and so small it barely holds my lamp. So I was very excited to come across this piece of furniture. I think it is a jewerly armoire because the drawers are lined in black velvet. So here it is when we found it. The only problem. It's pink and green. Our house is done in blues, greens and beige. No pink. Plus we have a nautical theme all throughout our house. This watermelon chest doesn't fit in. See:

But check out the deal we got. Originally $139.99 marked down to $28
That's $28!!!
Soooo....I painted it with some paint sample of the colors I originally wanted to paint our bedrooms. Now it is right at home. :) Thank you Hobby Lobby

My Father's House
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." -John 14:1-3

painting again
Finally, it's been a long time but I finally got to paint again. I want so badly to be involved in the art festival circuit. Who-Fest, Finster Fest, Chatty Crafty, etc, but I never have enough art to sell. So, I'm just going to work work work all year until next spring when hopefully I will have some stuff to sell. This is the first painting toward that goal. Keep scrolling down to see the whole thing.
