I have this one wonderful customer who buys many of my handmade cards at once. I had no idea how to pack so many at once so I ended up coming up with a system that works pretty well. I use ribbons lace that I have had forever to keep the cards in place on a piece of cardboard. I mail them in an envelope because I always have those on hand. Anyway this last order I decided to photograph it. So here it is. The last photo is to my pen pal/friend/collaborated.

Felt Bear Ears
My son wanted to be Brother Bear for a school project so I made bear ears out of felt. I covered a headband and this is the result.

Patrilia and the Monster
So I've been writing about Patrilia since I was a senior in high school. I even did my senior thesis in college on her, but it wasn't until the past few years that the monster showed up. They are best friends. A very good friend of mine encouraged me to write and illustrate a book about them and I tried, but didn't get very far, and she is the only one who has read it. Anyway in a scene where Patrilia and the monster have just met they are in the woods picking elderberries. So I'm not that happy with it but here is my progress. I'm learning as I go.
Ink and watercolors
I am a huge Studio Ghibli fan and I love seeing not only the art of the movies but the fan art people create too. I always love the Totoro art and finally decided to try to do a Patrilia and Totoro crossover. Of course my Patrilia and Monster aren't famous but they are pretty important to me. So here's my attempt to do something half as good as Studio Ghibli. I used ink and watercolors, then I used oil pastel for the rain.

Lilo and Stitch
A while back my sister asked me to paint this as a gift for a friend who was expecting a baby. It was fun to do.

Card for my son's teacher
Most cards that I make I have documented in my etsy shop. Even if one sales I still have pictures of it. Occasionally I make cards for friends that I really like and want to document them too, so that's what I'm doing here. I made as a thank you card for my son's pre-k teacher and after I wrote the bible verse I accidentally wrote Psalm instead of Proverbs, because most of my favorite verses are from Psalms and I am so used to writing that. So I covered upmy mistake and the card ended up like a Monet painting. okay so I may be the only person who thinks that but I like it. so here it is.
